The Blue Lotus was traditionally used by the Ancient Egyptians to create a feeling of well being, relaxation and as a remedy against illness and muscle spasms.

The Ancient Egyptians believed the Blue Lotus to be a strong aphrodisiac.

The Blue Lotus is widely represented in Egyptian art and was believed to be a symbol of rebirth and rejuvenation, fertility and sexuality.

Blue Lotus flowers were found scattered over Tutankhamen’s body when the tomb was opened in 1922. Remarkably they still held their perfume.
